A presentation of the discovery of a history of a family that he never knew existed and why he cared. Many remain unknown and are lost through time but, their story can still be told through the growing number of resources now available. He will present how the research approach to African Americans is significantly different prior to and after 1870. His personal genetic journey from the vastness of West Africa to the small Wisconsin village of Nelsonville.
